Whee! Kind words from Jess at Sock Dreams, the masters of all things sock-related! Jess provides some great tips on their inventory for folks who liked my design sketches and want to wear something similar that actually exists in sockform.
I own the Lola knee-highs (purchased from SD, of course). Undoubtedly one of my favorite sock designs of all time and a direct inspiration for the dragon socks. (Man, I gotta buy another pair.)
These are absolutely FABULOUS ideas! You should definitely enter some of your designs in Sock It To Me’s contests. And good news— some of these designs exist, in one form or another!
Sweet Marcel makes a Lola Knee High inspired by scale armor… We currently have three different styles that feature mushrooms… We churn our very own Neapolitan Stripes… Your feet can float on clouds, with or without separate toes… Space-dyed tights look a lot like mottled birch bark… Chinese dragons in various sizes and colors will guard your ankles… Although currently unavailable, Ashi Dashi’s wood socks and strawberries may reappear someday!… And the final arrows look very similar to the patterning in Sweet Marcel’s Heidi OTKs. :)
I’m especially loving your Stormtrooper, Wonder Woman, Kermit, & Batman styles, and I would gladly gallop into combat for some medieval armor printed thigh highs! If anyone ever spots these styles in the wild, please let us know…
